CME Director Dr. Talia Stroud was part of a panel on improving comment sections at the South by Southwest Interactive Festival in Austin, Texas. The other panelists were Greg Barber of The Coral Project and The Washington Post, and Erica Palan of Philly.com.
During the session, panelists provided suggestions for how to improve civility in online comment sections. Dr. Stroud shared findings from CME’s survey of commenters and comment readers, which was released during the panel, while Barber presented The Coral Project’s first app, “Trust.”
