Mariam is a Communications & Event Administrative Associate for the Center for Media Engagement. She was born and raised in Karachi, Pakistan and moved to Texas during high school. She earned her B.A. in communication studies at The University of Texas at Austin and returned to the UT community upon her graduation. Mariam is also involved in the creative scene in Austin and is the Managing Editor for Glaze Zine, an Austin-based editorial magazine. Outside of work, she is also a freelance makeup artist.
