During this year’s SXSW Interactive Festival, the Center for Media Engagement hosted the World Association of Newspapers and Newspaper Publishers (WAN-IFRA) for a workshop on media innovation at the University of Texas at Austin.
Journalists and academics from Norway, China, Denmark, the UK and Canada shared research and innovative strategies being tested in their newsrooms. The workshop was a fantastic opportunity for participants to hear from the international journalism and academic community.
The event was part of WAN-IFRA’s Global Alliance for Media Innovation, which aims to bridge the gap between academia and the industry in the field of news media. For more information on WAN-IFRA, visit wan-ifra.org.
