The Center for Media Engagement is thrilled to announce two new additions to our team. Dr. Anthony Dudo and Dr. Scott R. Stroud will expand CME’s reach by taking our research in new directions. Dudo’s research focuses on science communication and Stroud’s work, which includes the Media Ethics Initiative, explores the intersection of philosophy, ethics, and communication.

Dudo is an associate professor in the UT Austin Stan Richards School of Advertising & Public Relations. Building on prior research from the National Science Foundation, Dudo is working with scientists and media organizations to improve public engagement with science.

Stroud is an associate professor in the Department of Communication Studies at UT Austin and has been running the Media Ethics Initiative since 2016. The Initiative creates case studies, hosts symposia, and works with students to consider ethical questions in the new media environment.
