CME Receives Grant From Lenfest Institute

The Center for Media Engagement has received a grant from the Lenfest Institute for Journalism to study mobile news engagement.

The Institute is a nonprofit organization dedicated to both supporting digital innovation for newsrooms across the country and encouraging entrepreneurial efforts of local journalistic organizations. The Institute owns the Philadelphia Media Network (PMN), which consists of The Philadelphia Inquirer, the Philadelphia Daily News and philly.com.

The Center for Media Engagement will use its funding to undertake research focused on mobile news engagement, including identifying best practices for the type, placement, and labeling of links to recommended articles on mobile pages.
