In July, Faculty Research Associate Ashley Muddiman presented Center for Media Engagement research at the news:rewired digital journalism conference in London.

The event, sponsored by Journalism.co.uk, brought together speakers from around the world to discuss the latest trends, tools and tips in digital journalism.

As part of the “Building Engaged Communities” panel, Muddiman shared our research on comment sections, online polls and quizzes, and social media buttons. The other panelists were Alison Gow, digital innovation editor for Trinity Mirror Regionals, and Laura Oliver, social and communities editor (UK) for the Guardian.

Audio of Muddiman’s presentation, as well as her PowerPoint slides, are now online at the news:rewired website.  Muddiman also participated in a n one-on-one interview that can be viewed here.
