Director Speaks at ISOJ

CME Director Natalie Stroud speaks at the Global Roundup Breakfast at the 2014 International Symposium on Online Journalism.

In early April, Center for Media Engagement Director Natalie Stroud presented some of the project’s findings at the International Symposium on Online Journalism (ISOJ), held at the University of Texas at Austin.

The ISOJ conference, run by Professor Rosental Alves, is dedicated to exploring the evolution of online journalism. Since 1999, the conference has featured both industry perspectives and cutting-edge academic research.

Dr. Stroud’s other speaking engagements this spring included:

  • Giving a guest lecture to the Engaging Urban Communities in the Digital Era course at the University of Southern California
  • Speaking at the Austin Advisors Forum
  • Delivering the keynote address at the 39th Annual AEJMC Southern Colloquium at the University of Florida’s College of Journalism and Communications
  • Speaking at Harvard University’s Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy, as part of the Media Seminar Series (audio of Dr. Stroud’s talk can be found here)
