William Tran is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin with a double-major in Government and International Relations and Global Studies. He has previously been an undergraduate fellow with the Clements Center for National Security and a Brumley NextGen Undergraduate Scholar. His academic interests are centered on East Asian politics, specifically the regional and global implications of a rising China. As an undergraduate research assistant, William hopes to better understand the impact social media on the resiliency of democracy. One fun fact about William is that he can speak four different languages: English, Cantonese, Mandarin, and Vietnamese.
