Oluwaseyi Odufuye is a proud Nigerian American and will officially be a Texas Exes in August of 2022. Oluwaseyi just finished a research fellowship through Andrew W. Mellon Engaged Scholar Initiative where she developed a media literacy curriculum exploring the question: Can a media Literacy curriculum centered on intellectual humility help reduce affective polarization? Some projects she has worked on are The Color Complex and The Black Yearbook. Oluwaseyi believes that art, dialogue, and reflection are powerful means of conveying ideas, stories, and information, and is particularly interested in creating participatory learning experiences both outside and inside the classroom.
